Becoming Crafty

I am becoming crafty. This is a picture of my first crochet diaper and one of the baby legs that I have made. The other is half done and it's picture isn't as pretty! I am going to make a pocket diaper this weekend I'm so excited.

Self criticism is that the leg holes are a little strange shape, and I really dislike the fact that the crotch area is so small from left to right. Not even long enough to cover the diaper that you have on underneath.

Happy note is that the drawstring was a great idea. Love the way it works. I also am only going to improve the style with time, and make this better not worst!!!!

This is just my show off. They aren't as nice as the store bought stretchy ones, however they are adorable and have a great shell on the end. They look cute, although aren't practical of long term use (several months). This pair fits now, has room for growth in height but if she gets any chubbier legs we might not fit in them! Will take pic of her in them next time!

One of these days I will get the chance to learn to knit, but for now this is where I'm headed. Needlework always makes me calmer when I feel like I'm going in all different directions!

I love these! I am sure that seeing your little babe in something that you made for her with your own two hands has to be such a satisfying feeling! You should hold on to all of these things so that one day, Kate can look back and see what a sweet little tiny baby she was! It is amazing to look back at our baby clothes and imagine how small we once were!
