Christmas Morning

Christmas is an amazing moment for my family. It's the time that I love the most... seeing their smiles, hearing their giggles. This is our first Christmas in this home, and for the first time 'Santa' had a 'REAL' chimney to come down. If you can see it, he was kind enough to leave his footprint of soot in the snow cloth in front of the fireplace. This really brought joy to Mike who is beginning to question. It was one more shred of proof that he's not silly for believing in the magic of Christmas.

Following the opening of stockings the kids spent hours opening and playing and making the mess of the morning. I think that even though it was the 'cheapest' Christmas we have ever had, it was still just as wonderful and special as those where you are giving them EVERYTHING that they want.

I love the faces and joy that the day holds...

I am amazed at how one day a year it seems as though everything is perfect and there are no problems with the world. Wish I got that feeling everyday of the year... however I am happy that I get these smiles at least once a year.
