We haven't "celebrated" the special day yet, however today is the most amazing day of Michael's life. Today he turned 11. This Friday we are going bowling and having a friend spend the night to "celebrate" bis special day.
Let me tell you a little about Mike at this stage. He's finishing up his 5th grade year. He's gone back and forth so much this year. He's loved reading and then he's boycotted reading the following month.
Mike is still into video games and he's enjoying being mobile a little more. With age comes privilege and we love that, however it also bring responsibility and he's learning to love those moments as well.
I always tell the kids that this is really my day, I'm the one with the memories of the pain and leisure. I'm the one that worked so hard to bring them here. I tell then that I'm happy to celebrate their life, but not to forget to thank all those that have helped to support their life. So my last note for today is thank you to everyone that has helped support, discipline, love, play with, or care for Mike. You are honored in our thoughts today as we celebrate Mike's last 11 years.
