It has great graphics. It has two speeds, fast track and standard. That makes it nice because one computer doesn't handle lag much. On the standard servers there isn't much lag at all.
It has the ability of flight at a lower level and it has ascension. Many MMOs offer different paths for each class, however you must be anywhere from one quarter to halfway to max level before you reach that point. With Aion you ascend at the same time you receive wings. Almost all classes offer two roads for each class to decide on. This game also has 5 or 6 different classes and some very unique ones like a technist that carries guns, cannons, or rides in a huge gun robot. This game offers several options for both range and melee players. It provides the features that I need as well as the 'fun' the kids look for.
However, now game afternoons means that there are three laptops set up on the dinning room table and someone is on my desktop. The kids actually let 'mom' play with them which is kind of fun. They aren't dreading it or going 'ok :('. That is nice to me. It is nice to see that Nick is finally getting MMOs and can play with others. However, Sammy has never really played one before, so it is fun to watch him experience it for the first time.
We have a lot of fun, and the boys can work together well at times. I think this might be one of those games that stays in the house for a while.
