Our Anniversary

Today is my 11th anniversary. Today I was amazed that we have been married so long. We married young, and never thought we would last this long, however I can't imagine life without Robert any longer.

I was searching the net and came across a quote that is how I see Robert and I if we were to poetically express our thoughts about our marriage. The quote is as follows: “I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.”

We aren't big on giving gifts for our anniversary. Being broke made us decide that spending time together is more important than the gift (however there is always room for jewelry). When searching for anniversary thoughts I noticed the 'expected' gifts for this anniversary. According to tradition the 11th wedding anniversary gifts have a theme of Steel. A Contemporary or Modern Eleventh anniversary gift has a theme of Fashion Jewelry. The Flowers associated with the Eleventh anniversary are Morning Glories. The Gemstone list shows Hematite, Turquoise and Fashion Jewelry are the gems associated with this Anniversary. I thought these facts were kind of neat!
